March 24, 2003:

You miss her most when doing something new for the first time. Visit a new city, meet a new friend, see a new movie, read a new book. Wondering what she'd think of this experience if she were here.

Strongest when driving in a strange place. Her love of road trips. Wanderlust, motion: the rhythm of the white lines, the singing of rubber tires. She'd love the light on these fields.

Then the question that will never be answered, in this lifetime. Has she been here? For all you know that's her house now over there.

For all you know.
