Carlos Museum of antiquities at Emory University. Stunning. Her fascination for the bust of Sekhmet, proud, dangerous, black like burnt marble. Mine for the Sumerian inscription scrolls, and cuneiform tablets. These civilizations which somehow resonate for the two of us, across so much time and culture. By contrast the Mayan artifacts seem like dead things.
