When I called she was watching TV. Our conversation was punctuated by pauses which told me that the television was more interesting than I was.

Later she convinced the system administrators to allow her one last email before closing her account. She used it to tell me that story and to say that she was still interested in me despite not hearing from me a second time.

I thought, You must be nuts...
