Once upon a time I had a lovely girlfriend who loved me and shared it, in things small and large.

How long were we together? I don't remember now. Four years or five. The blink of an eye.

We drifted apart, eventually. There were differences that grew too large. She wanted children, I wanted art.

That's ok. We had our time in this life. I chose well, I was happy. No-one's ever going to take that from me.
