Close your eyes. Now where are you?
Montreal, on the streets, near the University. You're looking for the Park. You duck into a University building to find water. It's part of the medical school. There are grad students at small tables, eating. Water fountains: stainless steel. Then back outside: bicycles chained to the handrail on either side of a wide concrete portico. Straight ahead across the street is the trailhead. Up you go.
Auckland, Albert Park, on a tramp toward the Domain. Students, mostly girls, reading books in the sun.
Bethesda, walking through dappled dusklight after dinner, along the trail toward Newdale Road. Ahead near the country club there'll be fireflies.
There are many other places also.
All these moments in your life. Did you leave them unfinished?
