Fear of appearing foolish.
Isn't this the inner secret of her secret foolish life?
As if people fell out of the womb knowing everything they need to know.
As if the opinions of strangers, for instance shop clerks or real estate agents, could possibly matter.
So that in the end it's better to invent answers than to ask for them. Where the inventions are invariably negative.
Nothing is possible.
