You're swimming in an outdoor swimming pool. It's a large pool, huge, bigger than olympic size. Crowded with people. On the horizon there are cacti, and low dry hills, although the area around the pool itself is all concrete. There are so many people, so many people. They jump into the water and walk and splash right in front of you. That's ok. You're sleek and fast, and you dodge them easily, like a dolphin, like a sea snake. A graceful half-circle around them, past their splashing knees, looking up from below the surface, watching the sunshine dance.
