Threatened by events which might force them to accept responsibility.

It's more than simple incompetence. It's the refusal of that which would shake them from their r-r-r-r-r-r-ebel posturing.

The movement is everything, the goal is nothing. Standing on Bernstein's back, striking radical poses.
