False, self-serving excuses:

• She doesn't share her feelings
• I spent our vacations cajoling her to be happy
• She took my sister's cast-off boyfriends
• I paid her way
• She was acting crazy and it was dragging me down

It amuses me now that these are all things that I felt myself, at one time or another, about you.
