The saying goes, It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
I'm not sure about that.
My two experiences of love were both debilitating. They prevented me from being what I wanted to be, accomplishing what I wanted to do.
You could argue that that's because I made exceptionally poor choices of love object.
But that contradicts the better to have loved and lost business.
