They've changed the furniture where you're staying.

It's been a while since you looked there; now you realize that much of your property is missing. Luggage and tourist items had been locked in white-painted lower shelves. Those shelves are now gone.

As you search you become increasingly despondent. You've lost camera stuff, and also local purchases. So that, as the doctors arrive for work in the morning, you're looking a bit frantic.
