The cook's wife's eyes were yellow for weeks before she died.
Bartenders refused to serve her, so she brought her own and drank it down before entering the bar.
After her death, her husband drank alone at home for three months without going outside. Later he drank by himself, every night, night after night, after work, at the same bar where his wife had been refused because of her yellow eyes.
These stories are everywhere in this valley. The people are dying, so many of them, from one or another or multiple poisons.
