Small man, scraggly hair, the burnt face of a long-term alcoholic.

They were all small men, actually. You could have taken all three, and the woman they were with, if you were angry enough.

Small man thought so. "I'm just a bystander," he said in alarm, before running away down the street.

Must have seen your face.
