Tall girl, spikey black hair, running makeup, crashed out on a love seat far too small for her, head over the edge, dirty feet on the cushions, surrounded by rings of broken bottles and torn clothes and toppled chairs.

On the backs of two pay stubs, messages in scratched ball point:

"STOP"

and

"YOU ARE RT"
