Always that one foot out the door, permanently, 24x7, a scheme in partial focus for lining up the next landing pad, the next man to exploit, maybe from another country, maybe from another state, maybe from online, maybe from real life, that one someone who will understand, who will provide, who represents survival, not for her own life of course but for the life of the addiction, that trickster god of schemes and exploitation.
