I loved the apartment.

Sound of ocean; feel of breakers against sandstone. Dappled light through afternoon clouds: illuminated patches on gray water, like the presence of God.

Wall of books: as if the entirety of my life experience were visible on wooden shelves.

Sunshine, fog, storms. I would buy the building if I were rich.

Change, the last year. Rude neighbors, noisy, disruptive.

All things pass.
