To be out of the way I'm parked in the corner. Yet everyone who enters the building steers directly for me, standing around dropping things, making noise, being animated.

An old man tries on a belt, stiffly, carefully.

Blonde woman, a regular. Teased hair, polkadot purse, 1985. Remaining true to herself means she's retro, now.

Children run in circles. "Mira! Mira!" Chasing.

The staff are very friendly, very happy, very kind.

I am the only person here with a laptop computer and an iPhone.
