Nothing is Possible

• "But if you go carryin' pictures of Chairman Mao..."
• How do peoples' identities form?
• There's a time in her car, as her resignation is becoming more unmistakable.
• There's a gulf in the way our tastes have evolved.
• The way she leaves half-full ashtrays at points around the house...
• Her life is like a rejection of life.
• Her life so centers on television...
• Doesn't realize how deaf she is.
• Partial catalog of her fears:
• Inability to judge risk.
• Inability to judge risk.
• She wears an American flag lapel pin.
• "What kinds of presents does your mother like?"
• Elderly woman, flabby, slack-jawed, weak.
• When he was young she ignored him because he was a child...
• Nothing is possible.
