Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome.
We read a story of a woman who lost her first thee jobs after sobriety. She couldn't remember instructions given by supervisors, and when she read them back to herself after writing them down, they made no sense. She was too embarrassed to continually ask to have her marching orders repeated, so, she got fired.
She thought, "What's happening to me? I thought that getting sober would make my life better."
This is normal for recovering addicts. It can last three years, or more.
