We organized the neighborhood kids to slide down mega-steep Presidio Hill on flattened cardboard boxes. It was like tobogganing, only on grass. You'd arrive at the bottom with green-stained fingers and the lingering elation of raw speed. Then run to the top carrying your cardboard.

I don't remember how we got them all there. Did everybody ride their bike? And the cardboard? I don't remember.
