March 12, 2014:

Depression means not brushing your teeth, because you don't want to be clean.
Depression means wanting to be in darkness, when you know you need the light.
Depression means not changing the sheets, because you want your skin to feel the way your heart does.
Depression means wanting to be alone, when you know you need to be with people.
Depression means not taking out the trash, because choking the house with garbage makes no difference.
Depression means not showering, or changing clothes, or putting on deodorant, because the outside deserves to be as disordered as the inside.
Depression means wanting to not be touched.
Depression is like walking under water. Every gesture requires exhausting effort.
