I did it too hard, the first time.
"Ow!" She meant that, lurching backward and crossing both arms. "Why are boys always so rough?"
I hadn't wanted to hurt her. I hadn't known. She was patient with me and taught me how to make it feel good. In time she came to sing a little song, the girl version of a cat purring. It was a good lesson.
