Cook visited this harbor. He was friendly with the local chief, who drank kava with him while sailors harvested fresh fruit and children swam in the bay.

The same children are here today, the same water, the same trees, the same sun and sky and stars. Even Heraclitus would agree: just as it was.

Only the concrete is new.
