Her recordkeeping pauses just before the divorce, resumes eighteen months later with her son and his first childhood friends.
It reads as though she needed those eighteen months to rebuild her life. A time-out, until she was ready to resume, now with her own apartment, her own car, a rented piano, and daycare for her child.
