Texas blonde, 35, wire-thin. Pink short-skirt, thigh-length. White open-toed shoes with spike heels; pink glitter toenail polish. Blue denim jacket with sequins, cut short to show her navel, sleeves rolled-up to the elbows. Hair in a knot, tied with pink ribbon. White handbag with powder blue, pink and gold stars.

Why are you threatened by people like this?

Something to do with the overwhelmingness of their conformity. It's as if the "don't believe the hype" switch had been permanently fused off inside their brains. Underscoring your sense of isolation. And your wonder whether your own brain has vulnerable switches itself.
