November 29, 2005:

The rational is a subset of the irrational.

Machines are not alive. The qualities of personality with which you invest them are projection, partly, along with infantile recidivism: that which moves, lives.

The rational decision concerns investment; it centers around your estimate of risk, and the outlines of your plans for the next several years. It is not a question of loyalty.

Still, the divide between head and heart has never been more deep.

Where do you go wrong?

I go wrong when I allow my rational mind to overrule intuition. Intuition is the voice through which Life speaks to us. Life, or God: choose your term.

Yet, isn't there a distinction between intuition and emotion?

Where do you go wrong?

The rational is a subset of the irrational.
