Retired schoolteachers, blue hairs, bluestockings, earnest, confident, clueless.
They've spent their professional careers telling children what to think. Authorized and entrusted by the state to teach them what the state approves, unused to being challenged, lacking critical thinking skills, not particularly well-educated, absolutely absent the beginnings of a glimmer of an insight into their roles within the Ideological State Apparatus, although they spent 40 years there intimately entangled at the very sharpest spearpoint of the extended reproduction of capitalism.
They believe in justice but they support Zionism. They were for Bernie, now they advocate realism. They taught government but they argue from conspiracy theory. They're smug, and they're dumb, and they believe they aren't.
There are no young people here. Blue hairs and TV cameras.
Blow it off for lunch.
