How I remember them.
Brown cowboy boots, blue Levi's, tan workshirt tucked-in, wife beater underneath, brown leather belt with western buckle. Black hornrims, Stetson at an angle. He's Cowboy Don, Wild West Rancher.
Print dress, probably homemade. Gray hair undied, brown leather purse, comfortable brown leather shoes. Wirerims, very slight stoop. Intelligent, curious, a little bit jowly from age. She's Grandma Ivy, the Southern Matriarch.
It's Great Falls, this is 1969, there's a war on, the world is burning, still on the whole they both remember Ike with great fondness.
