Both of my parents' mothers were unwed.
I imagine that would have given them something to talk about, had that fact not been a secret to them both.
Where that secret and the lies surrounding it led to more than merely divorce. There was rape, torture, murder, and mutilation. Outcomes of the same family dynamic which led to their marriage.
