When the wind blows, the power goes out.
Without power there is no water.
Without water there are no showers.
Without showers there is no work.
Without power there is no Internet.
Without Internet there is no work.
Without power the food in the refrigerator spoils,
hundreds of dollars per episode.
To remain productive I buy an extremely expensive portable UPS.
I have no showers, but I do have Internet.
Over the course of an 18 month tenancy I spend fourteen or fifteen days working from motels. Returning home I toss thousands of dollars of ruined groceries.
