She interrupts after half a sentence to insist that my gender disqualifies me from opinion.

I reply, correctly yet appalled, that there can be no more sexist point of view than that someone's gender disqualifies them from opinion.

She retorts, sneering, verbally aggressive: "Now you're claiming reverse discrimination?"

Weeks later she cites this exchange as "pretty much the textbook example of mansplaining."

She has no interest in truth. She marshalls rhetoric, for the purpose of victories. Little verbal victories leaving her, in her own opinion, unchallenged as the smartest in the room. The Greeks called this eristic. It was this mode which gave sophistry its bad name.
