March 15, 2023:
Either way, either way, either way. How long does a grave site last?
In the city, a hundred years maybe. Until neighborhood growth and evolution and commercialism bury the burials.
On the prairie, in the countryside, much, much longer. Eventually weather will atomize the stone monuments, but that'll require centuries.
Moot, though, in so many ways. When I'm gone there'll be no living memory of her, so that the stone will be meaningless to visitors, as that of her father is already evolving to be.
