March 18, 2023:

Darkness darkness, be my pillow.

Towering, glowering pines, leaning and creaking and threatening. Brown walls, small windows or none. Lightless in daytime.

The worst of course is the heat of summer, when it reached 113 degrees Fahrenheit. I have pictures.

Trapped now in stormy winter. Landslides, downed power lines, road closures. Trapped in darkness, in darkness, in darkness. Where so much of my major depressive disorder is surely related to seasonal affect.
