The dust motes stand alone with their universes. Or they can accumulate, through juxtaposition or simple sequence, becoming coordinates in a geography of points. A "field", if you don't mind the analogy.
We can take this in multiple directions. Run with it in various ways. Extend it like plasma, to continue the analogy.
